Bachelor Visual Communication voor Alumni

After completing a level-4 mbo programme at SintLucas you can enroll in the Bachelor Visual Communication to continue your development. The bachelor has a duration of one year, and includes a bridging module.

Bachelor Visual Communication

The bachelor Visual Communication builds upon your previous education and offers you the chance to broaden your knowledge. You can choose one of the following tracks: Graphic Design, Illustration, Photography or Mediaproduction (Audiovisual). Classes will be followed at SintLucas at the Microlab in Eindhoven.

As SintLucas alumni you get the unique opportunity to participate in a one-year bachelor programme in collaboration with the University of Northampton through a bridging module. You will thus start with a British bachelor (BA) of the School of Arts University of Northampton (UK). The bachelor will be taught in English.

  • You are proficient in English: speaking and writing
  • You want to continue your education and could use a challenge
  • You like to investigate subjects such as design, trends, and the history of the creative industry

What will you be doing?

The bridging module runs from september up and until november. During this time, you will acquire your IELTS-diploma and develop your academic writing and research skills.

At the end of november you will start with the bachelor. You will follow classes in English; participate in workshops, and design projects; and you will be able to participate in (international) competitions. During the bachelor you can expect guidance from various lecturers from the University of Northampton and from the BA Visual Communication.

You can obtain your hbo-diploma within one year by investing €14.000.
In addition, you will pay €1.750 as a registration fee for the University of Northampton.
Student loans are available upon request with DUO.

Admission requirements

  • You can enroll in the bachelor if:
  • You are SintLucas alumni
  • You have completed mbo level-4
  • Your portfolio has been approved during an assessment interview
  • You possess a sufficient level of English to participate in the programme

After graduation

First, you will attend the graduation ceremony in Northampton, complete with cap and gown.
After, you will be able to work as an allround designer, illustrator, photographer, concept developer or visualizer.
Entrepreneurship: Start your own studio and work for diverse clients.
You can continue your education at several master programs at Universityies of Applied Science home and abroad.
